Drew Brees Announces Retirement

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has officially announced he will be retiring from the NFL. The future Hall of Fame quarterback had an impressive career and holds some of the top records in the history of the game.

Here are the records he holds:

Passing yards (80,358)

Completions 7,142

Completion percentage 67.7%

5,000 passing yard seasons (5)

Most Completions in a season (471)

Best Completion percentage 74.4%

Passing TD's in a game (7) Tied

Most games with 300+ yards passing (123)

Games with 4+ TD's (37)

Games with 5+ TD's (11)

Seasons with 30+ Passing TD's (10)

Pretty damn impressive resume. He's also a Super Bowl Champ, a two time offensive player of the year, and made 13 Pro Bowls in 20 seasons.

One big debate is where he ranks all time among the incredible list of Quarterbacks. This is where he kind of gets lost in the shuffle. He has the stats. But have we ever said he is the best? Did we ever say that in any season he played in? We mention Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes. The list goes even further when you mention John Elway, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, and Johnny Unitas. There are so many greats.

You have to include him in the top 10, right? Me personally, I don't, But let the debate begin!
